Maanas' Games and Learning

Today I will be telling you about my favourite games, how games can be more interesting and why I enjoy my favourite games.

This is a blogpost about games.

My favourite games (digital and non-digital) are:

*CS GO
*T.A.G
*Soccer
*Super Mario Maker
*Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon
The reasons why I enjoy playing these games are:

*I like playing CS GO because it is an online FPS(First Person Shooter) and I really like how there are 2 groups(Casual and Competitive) in the game.
*I like playing TAG because it is fun when you chase your friend and when your friends chase you
*I like playing Soccer because I really like the game and find it fun
* I like playing Super Mario Maker because in it you could build your own Mario levels and also play other people’s levels.
*I like playing Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon because it is a 3d Pokemon game.

Learning could be made much more fun and interesting if it included these elements of a game:

*Entertainment
*Online Multiplayer
*Some Action or Rpg
*It should have different levels of hardness so kids can play it and also understand it.

Important Elements from my life - My Visual Mihi

The above is my Visual Mihi and it consists of 5 important elements of my life.
The first one is my family , The second one is me, The third one is studies, The fourth one is sports and last but not the least is my culture.

You may have noticed that I put my family before myself in the above sentence. It is because I really love my family.

My family consists of my brother, my father and my mother. There has never been a day when I haven't seen at least one of them and a huge part of my life consists of my family. I really like my family and I love them more than ever nowadays because as I grow I am understanding the struggle they had to come to New Zealand. My family had about 3 properties in India but they left them for me and my brother's education. I also love them more because I am starting to understand that as I grow they are becoming older and weaker so they may leave me someday.

Next up is me. I really like my life. I like maths, science, coding and soccer. I am also really good in those. My family is sometimes proud of me but other times is very disappointed. I really like some of the Indian food my mum makes every day but I don't eat a lot of vegetables like onion which is used in about every Indian food for taste, tomato, cabbage, cauliflower and about 10 more vegetables and food that I know their Hindi(the language spoke in India)names but I don't know their English names.I also like Mangoes a lot and it is my favourite Fruit.

In case you don't know, I am Indian and came to New Zealand last year and I like New Zealand more than India but I still follow my culture and also speak Hindi at my home with my parents. I also talk to my Indian friends through my phone and also grew for 11 years in India. So India has been a huge part of my life.I also went to a lot of places in India including the Taj Mahal, The Red Fort, The Indian Gate and lots more.
I really like maths and science. I like maths because I am very good in it. In both India and New Zealand a lot of people think I am very smart but it is because my father wants me to be very good in science and maths so when I was young, when I came to home, I used to study all day long so I learnt some new maths concept and then when my teacher used to teach those concepts I used to get a better idea of those concepts and also learn new concepts that day.

Sports has also been an important part of my life.I am really good in soccer and decent in cricket. While growing up I used to play either soccer or cricket with my friends in India everyday for 6 years. Now that I haven't played either soccer or cricket in about a year and a half I am not good in those sports as I used to be. I used to play soccer because I really enjoyed it and cricket because it was the national sports of India.

Compare and Contrast

The below google slide was made by me, Caleb and Toby to show the differences and similarities between The Pt. England Way and The Treaty Of Waitangi.
Even though they are different they are very similar and are completely justified.

Example Letter for Ms. Tapuke

Thursday, 7th September,2018
Dear Ms.Tapuke,

Hi Ms. Tapuke, I hope you are doing well because me and my family is.I am writing this letter to tell you
about myself, so you could get a better understanding of me.

I am a year 8 in Pt. England School. I am 12 years old and live with my mum, my dad and my
elder brother. My father has 2 smaller brothers. My mother also has 2 smaller brothers.
I have 3 cousins. 1 lives in America and 2 live in India.I really like my sister, who is the one
who lives in America. She is about 4 years old and I like to play with her.

I like soccer and am very good in it.Soccer is a very fun sport to play and I
don’t when time passes when I play soccer. One day, I thought I played for 30
minutes but it turned out I played for 4 hours straight.I also like to read and complete
2- 250 page book per month and 1 big book per year. One of my goal for 2019 is to learn a
coding program name p5 which is a library in javascript.I am currently watching youtube tutorials
and can make a small game.

An awkward thing that happened to me is that at the first
day of school when everybody asked me what year I was, I thought they
meant how old I am so I said 11 and then they thought I was joking,It was until only
later that did I find they meant what grade I am in.

A thing to know about me to get a better understanding of me is that I like maths a lot
and am also very good in it.

I hope to write you another letter soon.I hope that 2019 will be a fantastic year in your class.

Yours Sincerely,

         -Maanas
