SLJ day 5 Activity 3 - Going, going….gone

I have heard the news that New Zealand is going to sink in  a week, which may seem terrible but is not because the government is making measurements to save citizens but the bad thing is that people who are currently in New Zealand are not allowed to go out the country and people can't come to the country either. If you have never been to New Zealand then I would gladly describe it to you.
New Zealand is a country made up of two main beautiful islands, The North Island and The South Island. Both islands are important in their own ways. The life in New Zealand is very simple and happy. The children go to school with their own chromebooks and study while the adults go to their job and have a very good time. There are a lot of people to help you too.

SLJ Day 5 Activity 2 - Living on the Edge

If I was to go to Tundra and to write a letter to my parents, it would probably go something like this.

Friday, January 25th 2019
Dear Mom,

I hope that you are fine at home with dad, and say hi to dad from me.

The class trip to Tundra has been very well. Everybody has been enjoying it and likes it here.Even though it is very cold, the jackets and blazers are really helping everyone. The teacher told us to not to go too far away to play as they may not be able to find us, so I played just beside the school bus, but I still got tired after just only playing for 10 minutes due to the coldness.

Well that's it for now,
-Maanas

SLJ Day 5 Activity 1 - Towering Timbers

Personally, I think logging should not be allowed. It should not be allowed because firstly, trees are what give us oxygen, so if we cut a lot of trees then we would be cutting our oxygen supply and secondly, a lot of wild animals have forests as their habitats so cutting forest would mean minimizing the shelter of animals.I think logging should have enforced laws like cutting  1 tree per day per person, so at least logging would be minimized over the years.

SLJ Day 4 Activity 3 - Salt and Pepper

If I was able to make a hotel, I would probably make it all out of  plastic, as it would be very surprising to see a plastic hotel. People would mostly stay because of its beauty and rare phenomenon.
It would probably look like:

SLJ Day 4 Activity 2 - Pancakes and Maple Syrup?

One of my favorite food is Subway's Sandwich . They are very delicious and nutritious. My favorite sandwich is with all vegetables as it is very good. To make my sandwich, I use White Bread, Swiss, with cucumbers, lettuce, onions, spinach, tomatoes, jalapenos, black olives and pickles and then I add hot sauce, chipotle southwest and mayonnaise as well in it.

SLJ Day 4 Activity 1 - Scaling New Heights

If I was able to interview Sir Edmund Hillary in real life I would ask the following 5 questions: 1)How long did it take you to learn climbing mountains?
2)What age were you when you learned how to climb mountains?
3)Who inspired you to climb mountains?
4)What are some tips to climb mountains?
5)Did you have any relatives who climbed mountains?

SLJ Day 3 Activity 3 - The WWF: World Wildlife Fund

After watching the video from the link (https://www.worldwildlife.org/videos/building-snowbanks-for-endangered-freshwater-seals), I conclude that:-
1)The WWF or commonly known as World Wildlife Fund are trying to protect the Saimaa Ringed Seal from going extinct.
2)They are trying to make snowbanks so that the newly born pups have protection from predators and human disturbance.
3)They don't have any results yet but they are trying to think for the long term plan with climate change so they can protect the seals.

SLJ Day 3 Activity 2 - The Secretive Skink

Three pros of being a DOC Ranger are:-
1. You are actually helping the world by saving endangered wildlife species.
2. You would get to know a lot about nature and survival in the nature.
3. You will know about a lot of animals that live in the wild, and can probably save yourself in case you are in a jungle alone.

Three cons of being a DOC Ranger are:-
1. In case an endangered species goes extinct, a lot of blame would be put on you for not taking care of it, even if it was others who hunted that animal.
2. You could get bitten by a wild animal and maybe die.
3. You would need to stay at one area, just to look after a few animals, that could die and you may not know abut it.

If I had the chance to be a DOC Ranger, I would probably be a DOC Ranger, as it is a very important and serious job to save animals from extinction.

SLJ Day 3 Activity 1:Fantastic Beasts

If I ever had to imagine a beast, it would probably be inspired from the 'Creature' from the movie birdbox. In the movie, you can't see the creature as if you do you would end up killing yourself. So, you can't see my beast. Then I would give him the ability to shape-shift , so you can't know whether your best ally is your worst enemy in the world and lastly, if anyone sees him then after they die, the creature would be multiplied, so if someone looked at it, then instead of one there would be two creatures then, but defeating the creature would be easy, as you just need to sprinkle water over the 'Original' beast and then it would die.
