SLJ Day 4 Activity 1 - Scaling New Heights

If I was able to interview Sir Edmund Hillary in real life I would ask the following 5 questions: 1)How long did it take you to learn climbing mountains?
2)What age were you when you learned how to climb mountains?
3)Who inspired you to climb mountains?
4)What are some tips to climb mountains?
5)Did you have any relatives who climbed mountains?

  1. Hey there Maanas, it's Billy here from the Summer Learning Journey team. Thanks for completing another activity and writing five different questions that you would ask Sir Edmund Hillary during an interview. I am sure if he were alive today he would have been more than willing to sit down with you and have a chat.

I really like question two where you've asked about what age he got into climbing mountains. I wonder if any of his parents inspired him to become a mountain climber.

Do you think he might have climbed smaller mountains before tackling the highest mountain in the world?

Would you ever want to climb mountains?

    Thanks, Billy.

    1. Hi Billy, I am glad that you like my blog post and as to answer your questions, I think he might have climbed smaller mountains for practise and once he got good enought he climbed the highest mountain in the world and as for the second question I am scared of heights as I may fall from the top so for now my answer is No.
