Some fascinating questions about cells and immortality, Maanas. It is great to see you have such a good grasp of the concepts and terminology. There are many groups of scientists working on this question of aging and immortality (probably with some funding from egocentric billionaires!). Here's another thing to ponder - if you had a switch to turn your cells on to an immortal state, what age would you push the button? Would you want to be immortal as a 10 year old? as a young adult or once you hit old age? All purely hypothetical, of course.
