I like your Latitude - Team 5

Today we learnt about how to track your location without the use of google maps.
We also learnt what a latitude is and what a longitude is. Latitudes are imaginary lines that start from 0
to 90°. It goes from 90° N to 90° S. 0° being the Prime Meridian Equator. You can see your latitude by looking at the sun and at the stars. There are 360 latitude. Another set of imaginary lines is longitudes. Longitudes help you how far you are from the equator in terms of left and right. So the maximum can be 180.
With the help of both latitudes and longitudes we can decipher coordinates and we can figure out where we are.I picked up a random coordinate from https://www.random.org/geographic-coordinates/ . The coordinates are Latitude: 9.29765° N, Longitude: 59.11700°E which is in the middle of South Africa. The longitudes go from 180° W to 180° E with the Prime Meridian being the 0°.
